Artist Statements:

My Lutherie Work:
Playful & Sensual Sculptures.

At Gurvan Custom, I meld tradition with innovation to create functional art pieces, each telling its own story. Specializing in wood carving, I focus on the intricate craftsmanship required to produce each of my electric guitars—limited to just 49 pieces. These instruments are not only tools for musical expression but also embodiments of bespoke artistry. Crafted with the finest materials and meticulous attention, my guitars are designed for discerning musicians who value quality, exclusivity, and a tangible connection to the craft of luthiery. Every guitar in this collection is an ode to the confluence of sound and form, a perfect harmony of function and art.

My Construction Work:
Building Small, Dreaming Big.

At Gurvan Custom, I believe in the transformative power of space—no matter its size. With over 20 years of experience in renovations and collaborations with major brands and heritage sites globally, I bring a wealth of expertise to the design and construction of tiny homes and cabins. My commitment is to create healthy, complete, and affordable living solutions that do not compromise on style or sustainability. Each structure is crafted to meet the unique needs of its inhabitants, blending functionality with aesthetic appeal. My tiny homes and cabins are not just places to live; they are sanctuaries designed to inspire, comfort, and endure.

My Design Work:
From Concept to Creation: A Lifetime of Design

My journey into the world of design began in childhood, sketching and shaping the world as I saw it. Over the years, this passion has morphed into a diverse and dynamic career. From designing and renovating my own skatepark, bedrooms, instruments to creating unique clothing, websites or stage decors for events and bands, my designs always carry a personal touch. This led me to launch my own magazine “Diabell”, blending my skills in photography and graphic design into a cohesive visual narrative.

My expertise was recognized and sought after, leading to opportunities to teach magazine design and to take on commercial projects for major corporations. I even explored the art of tattooing by starting on myself and inking on 3 continents. Throughout my career, I have created numerous prototypes and custom products spread from Vancouver to Noumea and beyond! Each piece is a testament to my commitment to style, comfort, and bespoke service—whether it's tactile and soft to the touch or visually striking. Each project is tailored to enhance the lives and spaces of those who commission my work, ensuring that every design is not just seen but felt.
