Electric Guitars & Basses

playful & sensual sculptures

Back in 2005 my band and I rocked the local venues with our Heavy Metal.
I started with a Squier Strat, then got inspired to build my first guitar from scratch, a replica of an ESP F250, made with the scrap wood and machines at school after hours. When I ended up playing with it Live, I knew I could make a very interesting next guitar, so I spent many weeks designing my very first design with outstanding woods, innovations and the best hardware I could afford…
Behold, the Creature of Fire. #01/49

the Creature:
Small and equally sharp and curvy, this model is thin and close to the body.
The Fire #01 and Water #04 are semi hollow bodies with illumination.
The extended fingerboard (29 frets for the guitars, almost baritone) will please the solo shredders!

the Wizard:
Voluptuous classic cutaway with LesPaul scale length.

#01/49 is Creature of Fire
#02/49 is Wizard of Aether
#03/49 Wizard of Wood
#04/49 Creature of Water
#05/49 is Creature of Earth
#06/49 will be Creature of Metal
#07/49 will be Knight of Wood
#08/49 will be yours…

the No Damn Good Skateboard Bass by Jeremie Gurvan 2014

As a first Bass I created this oddity, an “acoustic” bass guitar entirely made of Skateboard, including a rare top deck from a Private Skatepark in Montreal the “No Damn Good”.
I later installed a pickup to make more sound as the build is very stiff so not great acoustically.
And it is currently in my shop for a new bridge and nut for more sustain. Available on Pre-Order!
No Damn Good Bass : 666 $cnd

The others Basses coming have been in the making for the past 13 years, waiting for the ideal shop and timing to be finished. It is a massive 6 string fanned fret “Creature of Earth” carved by Charlie Sivell and the other it a 4 string “Creature of Metal”. Coming soon… hopefully :)
Also available on pre-order.
Creature of Earth : 3200 $cnd
Creature of Metal : 2600 $cnd

Zebrano Infinity Inlay on Rosewood, on my "Wizard of Wood” #03/49 by Jeremie Gurvan

Guitar repairs, maintenance and upgrades:

Some common issues I’ve addressed are :

  • Dirty, scratchy electronics, poorly shielded cavities and wiring.

  • Fret crowning, truss rod adjustment, fretboard leveling.

  • New finish, paint or custom inlays.

  • Install new electronics and hardware.

  • Create custom fitting case.

And of course, make them from the ground up (or rough cut lumber to finish).
