I met Charlie when he walked in my shop downtown Nelson back in 2014 in the iconic OurGlass Studio on Ward Street.
He had seen my woodwork in the windows and walked in to talk about it and eventually show me his carving work. I sure was impressed and offered him to take picture of it some days later and so we did.
A couple weeks later I offered him to collaborate onto a Bass on which I had left extra thickness for some special carving to happen. This bass, started in 2009 is still today under construction, but new parts have arrived recently and the project can move forward again… stay tuned..!
