Building a Cheese Curd Catapult: DaVinci Replica brought to Life!

You read that right! This silly project can barely be more Canadian although built my yours truly French Artisan, this Catapult was meant to pitch fake cheese curds into a big fake poutine! This machine -NOT a trebuchet- built for an event in downtown Rossland was a fun project to figure out the fine balance of cost, time, engineering and therefore figuring out the right design and materials for the job! This catapult did not need to be an actual weapon of war thankfully and was only meant to send those cheese curd ammunition only 60 feet away, so no need for massive power, this build was meant to be large and almost caricatural, which I feel I achieved! Although it might feel underpowered for most of us wanting more action, the end customers were pretty pleased which is what matters! So if you'd like to build it stronger you should of course use better types of wood, here I did not need to throw far and was budget limited of course. Thanks for stopping by!
